Week 4 Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl Projections

We are about a third of the way, through the 2015-16 college football season and that usually means one thing: conference play. With league games in the Big Ten and SEC, the conference order starts to take shape and projections start comes a better sense of projections. Here are your week four projections for the 70th annual Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl.

Jerry Palm (CBSSports.com):  Michigan vs. Georgia

Jason Kirk (SBNation):  Michigan vs. Georgia

Brian Bennett (ESPN Big Ten Blog): Michigan

Sam Khan Jr. (ESPN SEC Blog):  Texas A&M

Mark Schlabach (ESPN):  Alabama vs. Michigan

Brett McMurphy (ESPN):  Alabama vs. Michigan

Pete Fiutak (Campus Insiders):  LSU vs. Wisconsin

Brad Crawford (Saturday Down South): Texas A&M vs. Wisconsin

College Sports Madness: Iowa vs. Mississippi State

Bill Bender (Sporting News): Michigan vs. LSU

Six of the 10 media members have Michigan returning to the Citrus Bowl to make its fifth appearance in Orlando. The Wolverines were last in Orlando in 2008.

Georgia, Texas A&M, Alabama, LSU and Wisconsin each had two projections. Georgia has the most appearances in Orlando by an SEC team with six with the most recent coming in 2013. The Crimson Tide would be making its third appearance in the Citrus Bowl. They were last here in 2011. LSU has three previous appearances, most recently in 2010 against Penn State. Wisconsin would be visiting Orlando on New Year’s Day for the fourth time, with the most recent coming in 2014.

Iowa has been to Orlando just once in 2005 when they defeated LSU 30-25 on a last-second Hail Mary pass in one of the greatest finishes in the game’s history.

Texas A&M and Mississippi State has never made an appearance in the Citrus Bowl.
